Can I lay rubber mulch straight on top of uneven ground?
For the smoothest results, start with a flat, even base. It’ll make estimating how much rubber mulch you need much simpler. That said, rubber mulch is pretty forgiving even if the surface isn’t perfectly level - It's soft, springy texture helps even things out. Just keep in mind, if you’re adding equipment that does need a completely flat surface, you’ll want to be extra careful with your prep work.
